The second International Health Marketing Day was held on EDHEC’s Nice campus on 23 March. The event was organised by Marie-Catherine Mars and Loïck Menvielle, in conjunction with IAE Nice, IAE Lille and HEC Montreal.
The event is the only one of its kind in Europe, and involves a rich blend of academic contributions and round tables with health industry professionals. The second event was geared to stimulating thinking by industry professionals and academics with a view to identifying the issues, challenges and prospects for health marketing at a crucial juncture for the industry in many respects, i.e. global and local, regulated and competitive, product and/or client oriented, social and societal, etc.
Stéphane Gregoir presented EDHEC Business School to the 90 participants then moderated the plenary sessions. These sessions were interspersed with round-table workshops designed to improve participants’ understanding and to review the relations between the two apparently distant concepts of marketing and health.
The event underscored EDHEC’s desire to develop an innovative research policy and contribute proactively to thinking on issues relating to ethics and society within a global framework.
